Anyway, I came across a way to get the same result by just air baking. Basically you will take a cooling rack and place it inside a baking sheet an coat the rack with cooking spray. Sounds easy enough, but does it work?
Yes! I absolutely love this method and not only is it better for you than frying, it’s way easier to clean up! So don’t go spending a ton of money on an air fryer, just use your oven!
Try it and I bet you will be air baking everything! LOL! By the way, don’t tell anyone that they are eating Zucchini, because if they realize there are zucchini health benefits, they might not think it will taste good!

Baked Zucchini Fries Recipe
Ingredients
- 3 medium zucchini sliced into sticks
- 2 large egg white
- 1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
- cooking spray
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425.
- Place a cooling rack inside a baking sheet and coat rack with cooking spray; set aside.
- In a small bowl, beat egg whites and season with salt and pepper.
- In another bowl, place breadcrumbs, garlic powder and cheese and mix well.
- Dip zucchini sticks into eggs then into bread crumb and cheese mixture, a few at a time.
- Place the breaded zucchini in a single layer onto the cooling rack and spray more cooking spray on top.
- Bake at 425 for about 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Serve with Ranch or Marinara sauce for dipping.
