How to make Homemade Fruit Roll-Ups Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 – 3 cups ripe or slightly over ripened  fruit {I used strawberries}
  • Sweetener to taste: honey, sugar, agave, etc. {I used local honey}
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice {I used fresh lemons}
  • optional: seasonings, spices, extracts to taste {I didn’t add any for this batch}

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to lowest temperature to 140° or higher. I had mine set at 170°
  • Puree all ingredients in a food processor until smooth. I would taste the mixture after it’s smooth and add more sweetener if you need to. If you puree your fruit and it’s pretty thick, just add a little liquid. You can add water, or fruit juice.
  • Pour onto a baking sheet lined with plastic wrap, or a silicone baking mat. Make sure not to use foil, parchment, or waxed paper. Now spread to 1/8″ thick.
  • Place in oven and bake for 6-8 hours, until center is not tacky anymore.
  • Remove from oven and peel off of baking sheet.
  • Cut into strips and roll in parchment or plastic if you would like. I was able to just roll them up and place in an airtight container. Store in airtight container or freeze.

  2. Looks delish! How much fresh garlic do you add to the recipe?
  3. This would be a great idea to make for friends for a Christmas gift or housewarming gift. Sounds like it is fairly easy to make. There is a newly opened store that sells something like this. So I am sure my friends will likely try this recipe . I am going to pin it so they can see it. thanks for the recipe

  5. this stuff is so yummy! we make it as a special treat. As your recipe states...let completely cool before adding the Everclear. This is VERY important as grain alcohol can be flammable.

    Just wondering- wouldn't a bottle of Apple Jack spirits work just as well if you're adding booze?
  8. Cool! Can't wait to try this! So the plastic wrap doesn't melt in the oven?
