Slow Cooker Beef Stew
Ingredients
- 2-3 lbs Beef Stew Meat (cubed)
- 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 large Onions, cubed
- 2 Large Carrots, sliced into 1/4 inch think circles
- 10 -12 Red Skin Potatoes, cubed
- 1 can Corn
- 1 can Green Beans
- 4 cloves garlic, minced or 4 Tbsp Minced Garlic
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Pepper
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1/2 cup Flour
- 4 cups Beef Stock (you can also use chicken or vegetable stock)
Instructions
- Combine flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder. Stir well.
- Roll Beef Cubes in flour.
- In saute pan, Brown the seasoned beef cubes with the olive oil.
- Remove beef cubes and cook onion and garlic till soft (don't let garlic turn color)
- Combine Beef, onion, garlic, and vegetables in Slow Cooker (Crock Pot)
- Pour in Beef Stock
- Mix all ingredients together.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours until meat and vegetables are tender.
- You can add flour, a teaspoon at a time, to help thicken the gravy. Be sure to let it have time to cook to avoid tasting like flour.
- Serve over noodles or rice.
