This hotel offers rooms that are both large and comfortable. We had 2 Queen beds that were very nice. The bathroom was big and had double sinks. I loved how they provided a bench that pulls out from beneath the bathroom counter so you can sit while applying make up and doing your hair. They also provide a full hot breakfast consisting of pastries, eggs, bacon, sausage gravy, biscuits and more! An added bonus was the FREE Wifi. I loved the lobby area where we spent the mornings after breakfast, hanging out and enjoying the beautiful scenery outside!

We did tons of activities while in Pigeon Forge, and here are my top recommendations on places to see while you are there!
Our 1st stop was the The Titanic Museum….
We all loved the tour of this museum! Be prepared to be amazed and learn more than you ever thought possible about the ship, her passengers and crew.
Before you go on the tour, the greeter gives you a card with the name of one of the actual passengers from the titanic. You can then look for things throughout the museum that had to do with the passenger you were given. As we were about to enter the museum, one of our guides said that the museum hoped to pay respect to those who lost their lives on that fateful night, and the best way they could think to do that was to simply tell their stories. When you visit, I definitely recommend geting the audio players. It makes the experience so much better! Note that neither cameras nor cell phones are allowed within the museum. While no photographs are allowed inside the museum, I can tell you that the museum is full of amazing artifacts worth over 4 million dollars! The museum did a great job of showing you what some of the people went through. We got to put our hands in water that was the exact temperature of the water that night and it was hard to keep them in there more than 15 seconds! I cannot imagine being submerged in the water for as long as some of the passegers were. At the end of the tour, we found out whether our passenger lived or died that night. All of our passengers lived!
I wouldn’t hesitate to go back to this museum. I bet you would discover new things every time The museum also aims to present something new almost every year. In 2014, they are going to have an exhibit focused on “Unsinkable Molly” Brown, an American passenger of the ship.
Have you ever visited the Titanic Museum Attraction in Pigeon Forge? If not I highly suggest you check it out! You can find them on Facebook and Twitter .
Next stop Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies….
Explore the Amazing Aquatic World Up-Close! Marvel at 12-foot sharks, giant sea turtle, thousands of exotic sea creatures & playful penguins swimming! There are several interactive areas that kept the kids engaged. They have lots of tablets set up so children can take self-check quizzes, color dinosaur’s, and more.
There are more fish in this aquarium than there are people living in the entire town of Gatlinburg.
This is a must see attraction if you LOVE the ocean! You can find them on Facebook and Twitter .
Next up is The Comedy Barn…
We laughed the entire show!!! They have some of the best, friendliest people in Pigeon Forge working there. They going above and beyond to make your experience very enjoyable. All of the acts were incredibly talented! The Comedy Barn Theater, is voted the most award winning family comedy variety show in the Smoky Mountains. Featuring magicians, fire-eaters, jugglers, ventriloquists, comedians, live country and gospel music. Stephen, a ventriloquist took two people from the audience and put masks on them to look like Julio Iglesias and Willie Nelson, and made them sing by singing for them!
Danny Devaney stole the show for me! I couldn’t stop laughing while he performed! He is absolutely hilarious!
Towards the end of the show, they ask for all the children to come on stage and perform a song with them. Gabriel thought it was great and gave it two thumbs up!
Make sure to make it a point to see a show at The Comedy Barn. It’s fun for the entire family! You can find them on Facebook and Twitter.
You are going to LOVE Parrot Mountain and Gardens…
Parrot Mountain and Gardens is nestled on four acres of beautiful landscaped gardens. Hundreds and hundreds of beautiful tropical birds and thousands and thousands of flowers and plants and trees. As you stroll down the paths you will see tropical birds sitting on open perches lining the pathways. The best part of Parrot Mountain is when you get to feed all the beautiful birds on open perches. They actually let the birds perch on your arm and for some on their heads!
I cannot believe that they actually talked me into holding a Macaw! I know that you cannot tell by the picture above, but I was terrified!
When you exit the bird garden you stroll down the beautifully landscaped pathways then you come to the lory aviary. Here you can feed the lories nectar from a cup in your hand. These multicolor birds are gorgeous.
After you leave the lory aviary, you can walk the path to the Garden of Eden. There are benches throughout for you to sit down and just relax, reflect and take in all that God has created and thank him!!
Does this bird look familiar?? This the blue Macaw which was the main character in the movie Rio!!
At the end of the tour, you can purchase a bird to take home. You will be able to purchase everything to care for your bird, or they can ship your bird to you if you would like.
Don’t miss seeing Parrot Mountain on your next visit to Pigeon Forge! You can also find them on Facebook and Twitter.
Time for some dinner and fun at Hatfield & McCoy…
You start out by eating a feast complete with fried chicken, pulled pork bbq, mashed taters, corn on the cob, slaw and good deal more. After your done you get a yummy dessert! You also can buy a jar of “moonshine” if you like! I tried the apple one and I must say that it was very tasty!
Dinner is followed by the show which will have you laughing at the antics between the Hatfield’s and McCoy’s! This is a show you just have to see!
You can find them on Facebook and Twitter.
Don’t miss the Smoky Mountain Opry…
The Smoky Mountain Opry is the area’s largest musical variety show featuring music from Big Band Swing through today’s country. See the most talented cast of singers, dancers, comedians, and musicians the Smokies has to offer! They have something for EVERYONE! Country hits old and new, yesterday’s Disco, Jivin’ Swing, Movie Favorites, and a little Motown! Songs from Frank Sinatra, Kenny Loggins, Carrie Underwood, Garth Brooks, Stevie Wonder, Janis Joplin, The Beatles, Etta James, George Jones, and many others! The Smoky Mountain Opry has it all!
We really enjoyed this show and were amazed at all the work that goes into preparing for this show. This show was filled with music, lights, special effects, pyrotechnics and so much more, that it’s a definite “must see” in Pigeon Forge.
You can find them on Facebook & Twitter.
Hollywood Wax Museum, Castle of Chaos & Hanna’s Maze of Mirrors…
I loved the fact that when you get tickets for Hollywood Wax Museum, you can buy them so that they are good at all three attractions.
We toured the wax museum first. It’s a lot of fun to pose for photos with some of your favorite actors, actresses and musicians! There is so much to see in this museum!
Next we went through Hannah’s Maze of Mirrors. My husband thought he wouldn’t have any problems finding his way out of it! Ha!!
We then walked around to the other side of the lobby and went to Castle of Chaos. We weren’t quite sure what to expect there, but I’m so glad we went because it was a lot of fun! You are locked into a chair on a spinning platform, and each chair has a gun. You put on 3D glasses to make it more realistic. The goal is to get the highest shooting score, while having bats fly at you, characters coming at you and many other things going on around you.! It’s kinda like a video game on big screen. At the end they show you who scored the highest and of course, my husband did!
You can find them on Facebook .
Overall we had a blast at all the Pigeon Forge, Tennessee Attractions and cannot wait to go back to see what else Pigeon Forge has to offer. This is a great place for families or anyone else looking for a fun-filled trip in one of the friendliest and most spiritual vacation destination.
