Since it’s summer, everyone is itching to get out of town. The kids are out of school, and it’s a great time for a vacation! Where will you go? I know where I’d like to go! Missouri!
I would love to take a four day trip to Missouri. Let’s fantasize about what I would do!
Day One:
Wake up early, and rent a kayak, raft, or tubes and go on a float trip. What is that? Well, it’s a great way to check out the Ozark Waters!
After that relaxing ride, I’d love to try out the Katy Trail, which is America’s longest rail to trail hiking and biking trail. Great way to spend some time with the kids, and get some great exercise and see the sights!
After all that fresh air and exercise, a great major league game would be just the thing to end the day. Missouri has five major sports teams, so every month is packed with game days.
Day Two:
I think a day at the amusement park, or even a water park would be a great way to spend a hot summer day, and Missouri has three amusement parks, and dozens of water parks, so we would have lots to choose from.
After a day in the sun, some retail therapy would do just the trick! Missouri has lots of outlet malls, which means a woman’s dream day!
Day Three:
This is almost the end of the vacation, so maybe I’d let my husband take a day on the golf course, since I went shopping the night before. Branson, Missouri has a dozen golf courses, so finding a tee time shouldn’t be too hard.
While he goes golfing, I can take the kids to see Mark Twain or Laura Ingalls Wilders’ homes. Education, and fun in one trip!
In the evening, we could take in a live music show in Branson, the Music Capital of the world.
Day Four: The last day
I think it’s time to check out the barbecue in this state is world renown. Point me to the closest restaurant!
Before we leave, it’s time to reflect on the fun, so we’d probably come back, and pack, but boy would our entire family vacation have been a TON of fun!
