Ok, truth be told I am terrified of palmetto bugs (aka big roaches)!! So much so that when my husband was deployed, I called a neighbor in the middle of the night to come squash it!! Living in Georgia and South Carolina I have had my share of cockroaches. Now these are not your typical cockroaches, some can fly and exceeding 1.5 inches in length!! It really doesn’t matter how clean or dirty you keep your house. If you live in these places, you are probably going to see them in your house!!     When I first moved to Georgia in 2007, I had an memorial event with the Palametto bugs. It was evening, and I walked into the kitchen of my apartment. I had the back door open because the porch was screened in. Just when I turned to shut the door a Palametto bug flew in through the door and landed right on my face! I was screaming and sick because I could feel the back of the bug touching my mouth! After shaking my head fiercely I was able to knock him off and sweep him out of the kitchen and slam the door shut. I was scared to walk into my kitchen afterwards for fear that it would happen again.

      Victoria, I completely understand! I hate those bugs!!! They are probably scarier to me than any other bug out there!! I would refuse to go into a room if I saw them in there! I would always have to call for my husband, neighbors or even kids to come and kill it!!! Ugh!
