Homemade Gluten Free Condensed Cream of Chicken Soup
I’ve just always assumed that condensed cream of chicken soup was gluten free! I found out after rushing to the store and buying a can of condensed cream of chicken soup, that it is thickened with wheat flour! Ugh! I was in the middle of making a Homemade Potato Soup {recipe to come}, but it needed to be gluten-free because of my daughter. I had some Gluten Free All Purpose Flour on hand and thought how hard could it be to make Homemade Gluten Free Condensed Cream of Chicken Soup?! I’m here to tell you that it’s EASY!

Homemade Gluten Free Condensed Cream of Chicken Soup
Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 3 Tbsp Gluten-Free flour or 2 Tbsp cornstarch
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 1 tsp chicken bouillon granules (gluten free) or 1 bouillon cube (gluten free)
- 1â?2 tsp salt (or to taste)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, whisk together the flour or cornstarch with the milk.
- Add the remaining ingredients and heat to a boil while whisking it until fully dissolved and combined. Reduce heat and simmer a few minutes or until it thickens.
- Use this soup in recipes in place of one can of creamed soup.
Notes
You could also add chopped cooked chicken, celery or mushrooms to make into other cream of soup flavors.
