Vipre Antivirus 2013 Software Performance Review

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Vipre. All opinions are 100% mine.

I have used various software-based internet security packages over the years. There are many on the market that provide comprehensive defense against malware, spyware, rootkits, etc. but the protection is offered at various levels of effectiveness and you normally pay a price in your computer’s performance once you’ve installed these products. Recently, I was approached to test the new all-inclusive VIPRE Internet Security 2013 software for my PC. I had a current subscription to another complete security solution from another company, but decided to give VIPRE a try since I wasn’t overly enthused with the PC security provided by the current package. The software was a breeze to download and install.

The security suite came with a very good level of protection already configured upon installation with several other features that could be configured for more advanced users. The first thing I noticed was that THERE WAS NO DROP IN PEROFORMANCE when VIPRE was scanning and updating. Even when surfing the web with the web filtering enabled, I noticed no degradation in the computer’s performance using VIPRE. One of the other features that grabbed my attention was the ability of the package to perform patching for commonly used software brands such as Microsoft & Adobe limiting the bad guys’ opportunities to attack using vulnerabilities in these programs (zero day, etc.). The firewall comes configured to protect your system once installed, but there are lots of tools for the more advanced user such as an intrusion detection system (IDS), logging of attempts to access unopened ports, and a host intrusion protection system (HIPS). There is even a reporting tool that can enable your system to send the information on issues VIPRE prevented on your system for the security experts to develop signatures to improve the posture of your system and that of others that use VIPRE worldwide. Last thing, there is even a package deal for up to 10 computers for one low price. All in all, this package provides a lot of peace of mind for a decent price. When it comes to your computer system security, you do not want to find out after an attack that your protection was not great.  It’s time to gain an advantage on the bad guys and step up to a great security suite for your home and business PCs.

I encourage you to check out VIPRE Internet Security yourself and see how great and easy it is to use!
