Can you believe that summer is almost over with?? We are about to head out next week to go on our vacation and I can’t wait! If you haven’t planned a vacation, then you should consider heading to Virginia Beach. We went last summer and would definitely go back again!

Ten Reasons Why I would visit Virginia Beach {again}!

  1. Maple Tree Restaurant-This restaurant was within walking distance of our hotel. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast every morning. The establishment was clean, the food is delicious and a great value!  It’s a family owned business and the owners and staff are curious and friendly. The menu offers assorted breakfast items; waffles, pancakes, bacon, sausage, eggs, assortment of juices, etc and the coffee is great. They also have a great lunch menu. When you pay your check, you will receive a pen and a lollipop. They also have a great lunch menu. The dress is beach casual for customers. So go to the Maple Tree, relax and enjoy!!
  2. Econo Lodge on the Ocean-We booked our stay at this motel because of the ratings it received. We found it to be immaculate and the staff provided excellent customer service. It is a beachfront Motel with a perfect location on the boardwalk, near all of the entertainment!
  3. Busch Gardens at Williamsburg– We were able to take a day trip to Busch Gardens because of the close proximity to Virginia Beach. Our family had a blast and can’t wait to go back! We probably will spend at least 2 days at Busch Gardens next time!
  4. Boardwalk- There is so much to do along the boardwalk!! Oceanfront hotels and restaurants line the Boardwalk. Upscale shops and street-style vendors, amusement areas, historic museums, an array of sculptures and monuments, a traditional fishing pier, live outdoor entertainment stages, the famous Neptune statue  and much more! You can rent bikes and stroll around or just walk for miles!
  5. The Beach!– The beach there was amazing. The waves were huge and the water was cool. Everyone in the family enjoyed it. We had a blast swimming. We made sandcastles, found little blue crabs that didn’t pinch, and buried the kids in the sand! The amount of people that were at the beach were very few compared to other beaches that we have visited.
  6. Shopping- We got a lot of souvenirs for the family and friends. My youngest daughter got a hermit crab to share with the family. My oldest daughter, got her name written on a piece of rice and made into a necklace. She also got a basket of shells for her friend.
  7. Camping– Do you like to camp in a tent or stay in a cabin? If so then Virginia Beach has plenty of state parks that will suit your needs! North Landing Beach Family Zone is a great spot whether you are looking for RV spots or a place to pitch a tent!
  8. Virginia Beach Pirate Ship ToursYou can bring the entire family and enjoy live entertainment, pirate shows, and educational lessons while aboard a ship called Lost Pearl!
  9. Food- What is the beach without seafood??!! I love seafood and the endless amounts of crab legs and shrimp you can find while taking a nice stroll along the boardwalk with all the coastal restaurants.
  10. The Virginia Aquarium– This is a great place to learn and enjoy all the creatures of the sea! At the aquarium you find an Under the Sea 3D Imax Film. Moviegoers will be transported to some of the most exotic and isolated undersea locations on Earth!

If you haven’t planned your vacation this summer, then consider heading to Virginia Beach! It’s full of family fun activities, entertainment and relaxation!
