Military Family Appreciation Month
November is Military Family Appreciation Month! Each year the President signs a proclamation declaring November as Military Family Appreciation Month. This annual proclamation marks the beginning of a month-long celebration of the Military Family in which the Department of Defense and the nation will honor the commitment and sacrifices made by the families of the nation’s service members.
Our Miltary Family
Being a military family is often a rewarding experience. When you and the family get to accompany your military spouse to overseas assignments and the amount of travel is fun and a great learning experience for the kids. We have lived on or visited five of the seven continents of the world. We have experienced many different cultures and been exposed to lots of great influences along the way.
Taking Care of my Family
As a mom and wife, it’s important to me to take care of my family. The fact that we move every 2-4 years means I have to find a dental provider at every new duty station. One thing that I love about being a military family is the dental care we receive. We are enrolled in the Tricare Dental Program which makes finding a dental provider so much easier. The TDP encourages military sponsors to protect their family’s smiles and enroll their children, spouses, and/or themselves if they are a member of the National Guard or Reserves. Their dedicated military service entitles them to receive this benefit.
