Fried Avocado Recipe

Looking for something to blow the socks off of your family and friends? You have got to try this Fried Avocado Recipe that my husband and I came up with! This would be a great addition to your game day party, happy hour, or just because! At first, we were a little skeptical as to how it would turn out, but were surprised at how delicious and unique this recipe became. Try it out and let us know what you think.

Fried Avocado Recipe Ingredients:

  • Canola Oil for frying
  • 2 firm-ripe avocados, pitted and sliced with the avocado slicer
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt, or more to taste
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large egg, beaten
  • 1 cup Panko bread crumbs or Corn Flakes crumbs

DIRECTIONS:

  • Preheat oven to 200 degrees.
  • In a medium saucepan, heat 1 1/2 inches of Canola Oil until it registers 375 degrees on a deep fry thermometer.
  • Meanwhile mix flour and salt in one dish.
  • Whisk eggs in another dish.
  • Put crumbs in another dish.
  • Working one at a time, dredge avocado slices in the flour, dip into the egg, then dredge in the Panko crumbs, pressing to coat.
  • Fry about 20 seconds.
  • Transfer avocado to oven safe plate and keep warm.

Serve immediately with chipotle cream sauce. {recipe below}

For the chipotle cream sauce:

  1. cup sour cream
  2. tablespoon chipotle paste
  3. clove garlic, pressed
  4. Pinch of salt
  5. Whisk everything together!

I either cut it up and put in in my omelet with egg, dayia cheese, pepper, onion and garlic....or use it in smoothies to thicken them up! theyre even good plain!
