Crockpot Chicken Recipe

I’m really loving to try out new recipes that are healthy and good for my family. I had the chance to check out these new fresh frozen herbs from Daregal Gourmet. What a great reason to make my Crockpot Macaroni and Cheese and try a new Crockpot Chicken recipe. For those who are not familiar with Daregal Gourmet Herbs, here is a little more information about the company from the website:

I was very fortunate to receive the following fresh frozen items to try out:

  • Sup Herb Ciboulette (green onion)
  • Daregal Garlic-Frozen Chopped
  • Sup Herb Anith (Dill)
  • Infusion Basilic Thai

I decided that the Daregal Garlic would be perfect to use in my delicious Crockpot Macaroni and Cheese recipe.

Crockpot Macaroni and Cheese Recipe
Ingredients:

2 cups uncooked shells macaroni
4 tablespoons butter
2 1/2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1 (10.75 oz) can condensed cheddar cheese soup
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk (I used 1%)
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1-2 teaspoon Daregal Frozen Chopped Garlic

Directions: 

Boil the macaroni in water for six minutes and drain{all dente}. In a medium saucepan, mix butter and cheese. Heat over medium high heat and stir until the cheese melts. Spray your slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray. Combine cheese mixture, sour cream, soup, salt, milk, mustard and pepper and Garlic in your slow cooker. Add the drained macaroni and stir again. Cook on low for 2 to 2 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally!

Crockpot Chicken Recipe

Ingredients

1 whole chicken around 5 pounds, insides removed and washed and patted dry
1-2 tablespoon of paprika (to taste)
3 Tablespoons of steak seasoning (to taste)
1-2 Tablespoons of Daregal Frozen Chopped Garlic
Salt and Pepper (to taste)

Directions

Season chicken, inside and out. Cook in slow cooker lined with foil balls on high for 4 to 4 1/2 hours.  I use a 5 quart slow cooker, and my chicken fits perfectly. Chicken should be cooked to 165 degrees.

You can use the juices at the bottom of the slow cooker to baste the chicken while it is resting.
