Copy Cat Hooters Fried Pickles Recipe

Total Time: 30 minutes

I love fried pickles! Here is a copycat fried pickles recipe!

Ingredients

  • 2 quarts vegetable oil
  • 1 (16-ounce) jar hamburger dill pickle chips
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 2 cups whole-wheat flour
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil to 350
  2. Drain pickles.
  3. Place the buttermilk in one bowl and in another bowl combine the following: flour, salt, paprika, and cayenne pepper
  4. Place each pickle in the buttermilk then dredge in the flour then back into the buttermilk then dredge into the flour again {so worth it to do it 2 times!}
  5. Once the heat is at 350, fry the pickles {not to many at once}
  6. Fry until golden brown, place the fried pickles onto a paper towel ( it will drain the excess oil)

To make the sauce

  1. in a small bowl combine ranch dressing and hot sauce. I did 1/4 ranch dressing to about 15 drops of hot sauce

Notes

  • You can make it gluten free by using gluten free flour and sauce. We tried it, and it was just as delicious!
